Summary

Chapter 37 details how Ringdal was angry as he drove home after he lost a Judo match. His was one of the last cars allowed onto the E6 across Dovrefjell because of a snowstorm. Suddenly he saw a woman in front of him, waving her arms. He believed he was imagining the woman but he still hit the brake pedal. Regardless, he hit the woman.

Ringdal backed up to the spot where he hit the woman and verified that she was dead. Ringdal began making calculations. He knew he had been speeding. He was also drunk.
