Summary

In Chapter 18, waiting outside the church, Dagny wondered how many officers Harry had with him. She suspected that he was the only one.

When Finne arrived, Dagny tried to get him to go in the church with her. Finne, however, claimed that he smelled something and asked if she had been visited by “Satan” (122). He said that Satan would convince her that Finne had done something wrong and would try to put him in jail.

When Dagny asked him to go inside with her so they could get married, Finne said that he sensed she was unsure. He told her that he did not want to act hastily so he would let his “father” (123) decide. He pulled out a dice and explained that fate was the father of all of them.
