House on Stillhouse Lake

This house on Stillhouse Lake is a symbol of normalcy and security for Lanny. She considers this house to be the first place she felt safe and secure since it was discovered that her father was a mass murderer. She desperately wants to return to this house and enjoy that feeling again.

The Rug

This rug is a symbol of both Lanny’s life both before and after her father was discovered to be a murderer. In Lanny’s life prior to the murder conviction, the rug was a fun fixture that Lanny played on.
