Chapters 13 and 14 Summary

In Chapter 13, Morgan asks Colie to cover her shifts for a couple of days so she can surprise Mark in Durham. Morgan tells Isabel and Colie that she wants to surprise Mark. Morgan wants to get Mark to drive to Dillon, South Carolina where they can apply for the license and marry the following day. Colie confesses to Norman about her reputation in Charlotte and explains why she treated so poorly when Norman picked her up at the train. As Colie returns to Mira's house, Morgan speeds up the driveway. Morgan found Mark in his hotel room with his pregnant wife.

In Chapter 14, the following day, Colie and Norman open and close the Last Chance like normal. When Colie returns to Aunt Mira's, she finds Isabel there telling Mira that Morgan has locked herself in the house playing Patsy Cline. Mira...
