Chapter Eleven Summary

Annabel drives over to Owen's house after dinner to return his jacket and iPod. Before she can even take her hand away from the doorbell, Mallory is all but shrieking her name and dragging her into the house. She and four of her friends were preparing for a photo shoot, each dressed in a different style and tone of outfit, and overly made up with everything from eyeliner to false eyelashes. Mallory takes Annabel by the hand and is all but gushing as she introduces her to her friends. Annabel tries to avoid the inevitable, telling Mallory she can only stay for a minute, but Mallory is so wrapped up in the moment that this information never registers.
