Chapter Ten Summary

Annabel orders pizza and is surprised when it arrives to hear Owen at the front door discussing music with Whitney. Even more surprising, he considers her to be almost enlightened, musically speaking. Annabel tells him that she ran into Mallory and his mother at the mall, and for a minute, he thinks that she went to see Jenny Reef. She finally admits the truthful reason she was at the mall and they chat until he gets a call to tell him that a pizza is ready for delivery. He invites her to continue their discussion at another time, and they settle on Tuesday after she promises to listen to his show the following day. When he leaves, Whitney asks her how she knows him and Annabel admits they are friends. Whitney asks if Sophie is his friend also, and Annabel admits...
