Summary

In Chapter 56, Neil and Link joined up after the meeting, just as guards began rushing about. Mrs. Woodson (from the education department) ushered them into the education building where she counted the inmates. After the counting confirmed that someone had run away, Ms. Woodson told Neil he would begin teaching a GED class the following Monday morning.

The next page shows the cemetery at Carville. Many of the stones carried the aliases residents used to protect their families.
