Point of View

The point of view of Immortal in Death is that of third person omniscient. The vast majority of the story is seen through the eyes of Eve Dallas, the main character of the story. It is her story, her troubled past that is one of the main themes of the book and so her voice carries throughout the book. From time to time Roarke's thoughts are interspersed to give the reader a better understanding of his position on Eve's situation and at one time the reader is even given a very human side of Summerset when his point of view relates how his past experience his daughter had causes him to be much more sympathetic and understanding of Eve than he has ever been before.
