Chapter Five, Chapter Six Summary

Pitt and Hunnewell are flying the helicopter towards the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik and discussing the twists of the truth Pitt told Koski. Hunnewell says that Pitt did not tell Koski about the true discovery Fyrie had made, of a field of Zirconium. Fyrie's company had invented a sea probe that could find anything on the bottom of the sea, and it was this probe that Fyrie was going to turn over to the USA, in the interests of peace. Hunnewell admired Fyrie immensely and tells Pitt the man's life story, from poverty to riches, and giving all his money to the poor. As they are talking, Pitt sees a black jet with no markings drawing closer. Just as Hunnewell is saying that Kristjan's only surviving relative is his twin sister Kirsti, the jet turns and fires...
