Chapters 5 - 7 Summary

John unlocks the door and Henri looks at his hands. The right is brighter than the left and Henri hands his gardening gloves to John, telling him to put them on. John is so dizzy he can hardly stand, but Henri helps him to the truck and retrieves his pack from the classroom where he'd left it in his hurry to leave. John pumps Henri for information as to what his new gift means, but all Henri will tell him is that soon it will be time to open the chest that has haunted John his entire life. He tried to open it many times over the years, but the lock has no place for a key, and he was never successful. When they get home, John notices his phone is missing, and immediately knows who took it. Henri looks exhausted, and John suggests...
