Summary
Aziz imagined how he would return home for the past five years. He dreamed of coming home in a crispy new outfit and surprising his wife and family by moving them into a sleek new apartment in the city. As the date of his return to Morocco approaches, however, Aziz must change his expectations as his father has since passed away during his absence. He also struggles to visualize his wife clearly.
After Aziz’s first attempt to cross into Spain, he was caught and returned to Morocco two days later. A few months later, he crossed successfully and worked on a farm in Catalonia. He later moves to Madrid to work in a restaurant. When Aziz returns back in Morocco after his flight, his wife is so excited to see him again. His mother hugs him tightly and he glances around the apartment...
