Summary

Parvaiz is in Istanbul at an electronics store purchasing sound equipment with a man named Farooq. The narrative shifts back to autumn to show how he got here. Isma sits Parvaiz and Aneeka down and explains that she is going to America and that the twins should move in with Aunty Naseem so they can rent out their childhood home for extra money. Aneeka is fine with this, but Parvaiz is upset about the changes. Parvaiz, who has an extremely acute sense of hearing, goes to the nearby stadium to record sound effects. He is hoping to create a sound reel that will help him get a job working with a soccer club. At the stadium, Parvaiz is mugged by a group of boys who take his phone.
