Chapter 3, Sections 14 through 19 Summary

Jeremy goes looking for a woman who might be suitable for his collection. As he is sitting in his car outside a nightclub with a thunderstorm raging, he hears the words, "Something's out there." He doesn't know where it came from or what it is, and he listens to see if it will happen again. Jeremy isn't certain whether it's a threat but says that he isn't afraid, even if it is. He has been to Hell, as he often says, and being in the world of the living is, to him, a temporary state.
