Summary

The title page of Chapter 8 includes a program with the seal of Holy Name Central Catholic High School and the year 1995. Underneath the program is a handwritten letter in cursive, presumably from Jarrett’s father though not stated explicitly. The letter is filled with regret, including, “I see now if I could go back and undo it I would - but of course I can’t” (254). The chapter opens with Jarrett sitting on Holly’s couch and talking to her about his father’s letter. Jarrett also confides in Pat.
