Chapter 29

In Chapter 29, Sophie is shocked to realize that Archer is an Eye. She knocks him down and uses some of the things she has learned in Defense to fight him off, then runs to the top of the stairs and yells for help. Archer pulls out a silver knife, but rather than attacking Sophie, he uses it to open a window and slips out just as the Vandy opens the door. In Mrs. Casnoff’s office, everyone is incredulous and Mrs. Casnoff apologizes for not believing Sophie’s suspicions about The Eye. A search of the grounds does not turn Archer up and Cal escorts Sophie to her floor, where Elodie approaches her. She is shocked to hear the news about Archer but when Sophie is unable to explain why she was touching his chest, she simply walks out.
