Chapters 6-10 Summary

13 Days Until Deadline - New York, USA

Chapter 6:

When the winter pretends to be spring, thieves tend to come out in full force. Kat and Hale stroll through Manhattan and watch as a handsome, slick man runs into an old man with mismatched socks. The old man, Kat's great-uncle Eddie, picks the man's pocket.

Thieves are not supposed to have long-term homes. They must be ready to move at any time. Uncle Eddie is the exception. Kat and Hale follow Uncle Eddie to his brownstone and go inside to discuss the Taccone matter.

Shortly after Kat and Hale arrive, Hamish and Angus Bagshaw burst into the apartment. The boys are excited about something and are happy to see Kat, although they taunt her about leaving the family business. Uncle Eddie makes soup and the group sits down to discuss Taccone. There...
