Chaps. 16-18 Summary

Chapter 16. Katsa feels strange riding off with Po before dawn, and Katsa has an emotional goodbye moment with Raffin. Katsa and Po are traveling without disguises south through the kingdom of Sunder towards the kingdom of Monsea. Po admits that he wonders why Katsa refused to marry Giddon and if she really wants to marry Raffin. Po also admits that there is a foolish but persistent attraction between him and Katsa. Katsa and Po camp out at night, and Katsa is able to quickly find a rabbit and kill it with her knife for their dinner. Katsa states her admiration for Po's being clear-headed. In turn, Po admires Katsa for rescuing his Grandfather Tealiff merely because she and the Council thought it wrong for him to be kidnapped.
