Chaps. 4-6 Summary

Chap. 4. Katsa and her companions put on their official dress and go to the home of an Estillan borderlord who had cut down too many trees from Randa's land without paying for it. Katsa is somewhat upset that the underlord's daughter is a Graced mindreader, but is assured that it is not important. Giddon states that a mindreader could be very dangerous if controlled by an aggressive person. At the sight of Katsa, all attempts to stop her group cease and Katsa, Oll and Giddon walk into the Estillan lord's dining room. The borderlord is startled that Katsa is here, and soon admits that he owes King Randa for the felled timber, and is willing to pay double. Then he is left with Katsa, and fears she will kill him. Katsa ends up only knocking him out, not breaking his arm...
