Summary

In Now, when Alex approaches Kit about what she told him, Kit tries to pretend that she was just talking nonsense because she was drunk. Alex tells her that he does not believe her. Kit goes to talk to Serge, believing his vivarium with the animals is truly the safest place in the lab. He tells her that he believes Alex, whom he calls the careless one, believes that Severin will be swayed in her choice by politics. He indicates that Alex’s uncle is on the board at the National Institutes of Health and that Alex has mentioned it to Severin several times. Kit indicates that Alex never told her.
