The Winnie is the Winnebago that Aubry and Charley called home during much of Aubrey's childhood. It symbolizes a place of safety for Aubrey. After a particularly upsetting psychic encounter, Aubrey remained in the Winnie until Charley ordered her out. Missy gave Aubrey the violets a short time later.

Missy's Safety Deposit Box

Missy's safety deposit box symbolizes the lengths Missy goes to in order to keep her secrets. The box and its contents remain secret for years. Recognizing a kindred spirit, a bank employee keeps Missy's secret for 20 years, until her own retirement makes it impossible for her to continue to keep the secret.
