Robert L. Goodkind High School

Robert L. Goodkind High School is in a small town near Boise, Idaho. It is the high school that all of the characters in the book attend or where they teach. The high school is the primary setting for the majority of the events that take place in the novel.

Gazebo

The gazebo is where Russel and Kevin reveal their sexuality to each other for the first time. Throughout the novel, the gazebo is the secret meeting place for the two boys. It's also where Kevin kisses Russel for the first time and their romance begins.
