Chapter 19: Into the Black Down Under

Ken takes Max next door to a boarded up abandoned unit. Ken orders Max to descend the stairs to the dark, damp basement, which is difficult because he is still tied up. He stumbles a few times but finally makes it down the steps. Ken sticks a rag in Max's mouth and tells him he has to go see Iggy about the car he is getting for them.

Loretta comes down the stairs with her flashlight. As she tries to free him, Loretta tells Max that the plan is for Iggy to keep Ken busy while she unties Max. With all the cops crawling around outside, she is sure they will be safe. She has trouble untying the ropes and finds a jagged piece of metal to cut through the rope . She finally frees him...
