Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

Trantor had been border-to-border metal buildings but now has intermittent fields. Lee Senter meets those from the ship, offering the universal sign of peace - both hands extended palms up. Senter invites them in and notes that Bayta takes a seat among the men and even accepts a cigar, which she obviously enjoys greatly. Senter says that the current economy on Trantor is based on farming and trade.
