Chapters 3 and 4 Summary

Bel Riose has summoned Ducem Barr. Riose first asks Barr if he's a loyal subject of the Emperor, and Barr tells him to simply ask whatever it is that he's going to ask. Riose says he's been to a world occupied not by magicians but by "devils." He says that the people of this world dream of ruling the Galaxy and that he believes his own ruler, the Emperor, is in danger. Riose tells Barr that when leaving the area, he lost a ship. While he has no proof that the ship fell into enemy hands, he's convinced that it must have as there was no additional sign of the vessel.
