Chapter 12

Paine and Donna were so relieved to see Abbey that she wasn't punished. The next morning, Abbey played the video tape she made showing the crew dumping the sewage in the marina. Unfortunately, the film was so blurry and shaky that it was difficult to make out exactly what was taking place. A deputy stopped by and Paine and Noah rushed to the bedroom to clamp Paine's ankle bracelet back on. They got the bracelet back on just in the nick of time. But the deputy asked Paine to come with him.

Paine got his job back at the cab company but he wouldn't be able to start right away. He was back in jail. He was charged with tampering with the court-ordered monitoring device - his ankle bracelet. Either the bracelet sent a signal or Dusty ratted on him...
