The Sycamore Tree

Juli Baker always climbed a huge, old sycamore tree that was located on a vacant lot by the school bus stop. She staged a sit-in in the tree when the owner threatened to have it cut down.

The Science Fair

Juli Baker wowed everyone at the Science Fair when she raised and hatched six chicks. The record prior to that had been three hatchlings.

The Incubator

When Juli decided to raise chicks for the science fair, her father helped her build an incubator. He taught her how to tell if the eggs were vibrant by a process called candling.

The Chicken Coop

After all six eggs lived from Juli's science project, her and her father built a chicken coop in the back yard. The chickens were all hens and started laying eggs which Juli collected and gave away or sold.

The Booster Club Auction

The Booster Club at school sponsored a fundraiser in which a group of boys had to prepare picnic...
