Juli was very upset about the eggs. It was more difficult to deal with than her dog's death. Her father had found the dog when she was six. It was hurt and abandoned. Juli's mother didn't want to keep the dog but after a while she softened and the dog, named Champ, became a part of the family but he had to stay outside because he persistently made his "mark" inside the house.
