Summary

Pages 28 – 64 describe the events that transpire throughout the second and third days of Fish Girl’s narrative. At the start of the second day, Fish Girl watches Neptune fix a filter in the water tank. She wonders what would happen if he were not there, because he “controls” her world (28). Fish Girl realizes that without Neptune, the sharks would not be fed, so they would attack her. Octopus then claims that she would protect Fish Girl. When Neptune is finished fixing the filter, he tells Fish Girl to do her job. Through the text box narration, Fish Girl says that the customers pay to try to spot her.
