Book 2: Chapter 7 Summary

The Fellowship finally arrives in the City of Galadrim, at the heart of Lothlorien and where Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel rule. The group enters through large gates and do not see any one about; however, they can hear singing from high above them in the trees. The group sees before them a tree larger than all the others and at its base there is a white ladder leading up it. At the base of this soaring tree, several Elves are seated. The Fellowship is told to climb the ladder up to Lord Celborn and Lady Galadriel's home.

The Lord Celborn greets each in turn by name, telling Gimli he is happy that he is there and hopes this is a sign that their differences will soon be mended and the Elves.....
