Chapters 26-30 Summary

Myron sits on the bench during the game thinking about the way basketball makes him feel. He sees Jessica in the stands and is shocked when his parents come into view. Before he has time to process their presence, Myron in stunned to hear the coach put him in the game. Since it's only the second quarter with the score very close, Myron is surprised as he had not expected to get into the game at all. On the court he intends to do his best, but quickly realizes that his best is nowhere near good enough for the NBA. Myron does his best, pride taking over, but the man he is guarding scores eleven points before the quarter is over. Myron believes that Clip must have been behind his going into the game.
