Chapters 23-25 Summary

In chapter twenty-three, Lucas goes to the scene of the mall murder. While there, Lucas talks with the teenage boy who witnessed the murder. The boy tells Lucas that the killer had a way of walking that was similar to the main character in the movie Darkman. Lucas leaves the scene and drives to Cassie's apartment, but she is not home. Cassie is waiting for Lucas when he returns to his own home. They run together and then Lucas rents the film Darkman to watch with Cassie. After the movie is over, Lucas shows Cassie the picture of the Cyclops. Cassie identifies Carlo Druze as the killer, just as Lucas suspected she would. Lucas and Cassie go to the office at the theater and break into the personnel files. Lucas takes a headshot of Druze with the hope of having Loverboy...
