Chapters 15-18 Summary

In chapter fifteen, the police learned George has disappeared. The general consensus is that he is Loverboy. When Lucas learns what time George disappeared, he realizes that Bekker used him as an alibi. This causes Lucas to believe George is dead and Bekker knew he would be killed. As they discuss this, a cop comes in with a picture of a Cyclops staring over a hill at a woman. The picture has been sent by Loverboy. At home, Lucas makes some phone calls and finally gets an artist who tells him the painting is done by a French artist named Odilon Redon. The artist suggests that whoever sent the picture to the police knows something about art because Redon is somewhat obscure. Back at the office, Lucas coaches Del through a phone call to ask Cheryl on a date.
