Summary

In the section “Honestly,” Olly and Maddy agree that though they probably should not have kissed, they are not sorry that it happened.

In the section “Owtsyd,” Maddy beats her mother at Fonetik by playing the phonetic forms of the words “outside,” “freedom,” and “secrets.” She notices her mother has been looking at her strangely all night. Finally she asks Maddy what is going on with her. Their conversation is interrupted by a scream and slam from next door. They run to the window where Olly, his mother and his father are all on the front porch. Olly draws his father’s attention from his mother, trying to pick a fight with him.
