Eden

Eden is a self-contained society ruled by an artificial intelligence inside a closed, limited ecosystem. The people of Eden believe the Earth was destroyed some 200 years earlier and that they will have to live withing the confines of Eden for another 800 years in order to give the Earth time to heal from man's destruction. Within this closed society, there are rules that are supposed to be protecting the society as a whole, including a law forbidding any family from having more than one child. No animals have survived inside Eden and people know about the Earth as it was through videos and historical documents. The city is in a circular pattern and the poor live in the outer circles while the wealthy people and high-ranking government officials live in the inner circles.
