Chapter 17 Summary

The remaining assassin knows when the storm is over that his friends are not returning. It is a sobering thought. He isn't sure now what he will do. He has always been a follower, not a leader, and now he is faced with having to figure out how to make an income again. He stands outside, looking up the road, and reluctantly goes back in putting the do not disturb sign on the door and locking it behind him as he goes in.

Reacher gets Alice to drive, going as fast as she dares while Reacher pours over maps trying to determine where the assassins would be staying with Ellie.
