Chapter 4 Summary

Menolly's fire lizards are hungry again, so she goes to the kitchen to find them some meat. Camo is excited to help, causing him to get into trouble with the kitchen helper. Camo ignores the woman, however, over his desire to help Menolly. Piemur comes across Menolly and Camo feeding the fire lizards and asks if he can help the next time. Menolly agrees. Together Menolly and Piemur go inside for dinner. This time Menolly sits with the girls. Menolly is introduced to the girls and discovers that they adhere to the social ranking in force in many holds, but which Menolly thought was discarded in favor of student ranking at Harpers Craft Hall.
