Book 1, Chapter 3, Gathering Darkness Summary

Chapter Three opens with Raistlin announcing the approach of dragons. Maquesta quickly puts her crew to work on taking evasive action. She is terribly worried about the damage the draconians may cause to her ship.

Berem is ordered to take the ship around the edge of the storm. The Draconains are gaining quickly and Raistlin points out that they cannot outrun the dragons. He proceeds to point out that Tanis was followed, or that Tanis lead the army to them. Tanis denies this, swearing that he would never turn over his friends to the army. He realizes that Kitiara must have had him followed.
