Book 4 The Cold Between - Chapter 3 Summary

Even though the F'nor from the past has already visited the present, it is only now that Lessa and the present day F'nor go back in time to investigate the Southern Continent. A new anxiety bothers Lessa. The once barren continent is lush and green but they find no suitable place to establish a Weyr. They land on a plateau near a small lake. While the dragonriders eat, the dragons refresh themselves in the water. Lessa and F'nor are restless and have little appetite. F'nor blames the restlessness on the lack of cliffs, but Ramoth tells Lessa that dragons didn't always live in caves. F'nor's dragon admits that he would enjoy living there.
