Book 2 Dragonflight - Chapter 4 Summary

Larad, Lord of Telgar, eyes the gigantic cliffs surrounding the Weyr. At the back of his mind, he knows he's committing blasphemy, but he stifles the thought. He and the others believe that the Weyr has outlived its usefulness. They no longer want to tithe, and are fed up with the Search nonsense that allows dragonmen to take away their most attractive women. Above all, the steady raids and pilfering has pushed them into action. They stand on the outskirts of the Weyr with only one way in. Larad and Lord Meron of Nabol discuss their strategy.
