Book 1 Weyr Search - Chapter 2 Summary

Each chapter starts with a verse from ancient texts foretelling things to come or things that have occurred that influence the present. This chapter's verse introduces dragons: bronze, brown, blue and green, and mentions dragonmen of Pern arising unseen. Dragonmen are classified by the color of dragon they ride. F'lar rides a bronze dragon named Mnementh. Together they fly above Fax's chief Hold where he observes the disrepair Fax has allowed to overtake his Holds. F'lar determines that after this search is over and the impression made, there will have to be a disciplinary Council held.
