Chapter 26 Summary
The group travels by train to Galatz. Mina's hypnosis sessions suggest that the Count is still on board a ship but offer little else on his location. Once arrived in Galatz, they learn the Czarina Catherine has landed. The Count and his box are gone by the time they reach the ship. The ship's captain describes the strange voyage and also provides the name of the person who took the wooden box from the ship after it anchored. From this man, they learn that he handed the box over to another agent, who was later found dead with his throat torn open.
In Mina's journal, she reviews all the known facts about Dracula's journey so far to help predict his plans for the final leg of his trek to his castle. From the maps she has studied and from comments she made under hypnosis, she concludes that the Count is...
