Chapter 18 Summary

Mina asks Seward if she may visit his patient, Renfield, whom she has learned about through Seward's diary. Renfield converses calmly and reasonably with Mina. Van Helsing arrives and is delighted to hear of Mina's work in transcribing all the documents. Seward tells Van Helsing that the house next to the asylum, Carfax, is the one Dracula purchased for his London residency.

After everyone has read a copy of the transcript of the events relating to Dracula and Lucy, the group meets to come up with a plan of action.
