Kelly uses a television remote to show Lil J images from his past and a possible future on a magical television.

Television

Lil J spends most of the novel watching images from his past and news reports on a television in an abandoned building. At the end of the novel, Lil J sees images from that night on his own television at home, showing him the reality of what happened to him in his moment of greatest need.

Bassinette

Lil J wants to buy a bassinette for his son, Brian, in order to earn his girlfriend's love and trust, but does not have the money to do so.

Handcuffs

Rico and Lil J use Officer Gaffione's own handcuffs to handcuff him to the banister of the abandoned house where the drug deal goes down.
