Summary

Chapter 12 is titled “Good Golly Miss Molly.” The narrator notes that it is “easy to join with the crowd and even easier to spread anger and hate. But it takes courage to stand alone” (182). While Molly could not move the entire tree by herself, she could move the branch that was holding onto Lil' Petey, and he drops to the ground. Lil' Petey says he has a plan, and he, Zuzu, and Molly run away together. They go to Dog Man's doghouse where Lil' Petey asks Dog Man's computer to “create an antidote to Supa Brain Dots” (186). The computer promises to do that, using “everyday ingredients.” They mix the ingredients, which include ketchup and paprika, then the computer instructs them to “pour the mixture into my subcritical fission reactor” (187).
