Summary

Chapter 12 is titled “A Farewell to Arms.” The Colossal-Bot 2000 has no arms but it begins to fire lasers out of its chest and “Petey and the very hangry Raterpillar were now encased in a charcoal tomb” (173). The narrator makes the point that “nearly everyone … was horrified” (173) but Lil' Petey knows what will happen next. He whispers to everyone else and they all smile. Dr. Scum reveals that he has four more arms and he grabs Dog Man, the Chief, Sarah (who is holding Zuzu) and 80-HD (who is holding Lil' Petey).

Piggy and Daryl the moth arrive at a museum and Piggy convinces Daryl he is going to protect the famous Hope Mood Ring from robbers. Daryl lowers Piggy through ducts to the place where the ring is kept. In the final panel of the chapter, Piggy...
