Summary

In Chapter 25, Amal has a good day at school with her friends, including playing some basketball. Simone surprises everyone by being a decent shot at basketball. That evening, Adam calls Amal and they talk about the fact that Adam's mother has been in touch. She does so periodically, but Adam is torn in his feelings for her. The topic changes to Josh and Simone. Adam predicts that Amal will call Eileen and Simone as soon as they hang up the phone, and he refuses to say whether Josh plans to ask Simone out. When they hang up, Amal manages to wait a few minutes before calling Eileen. She gets a text from Adam, saying she should say hi to Eileen and Simone for him.
