Chapter IV, pgs. 322-384 Summary

Kidd meets Bunny and sees where she and Pepper live. There is a black curtain that separates their quarters from the bar. They talk about the scorpions, which Bunny says is the only enforcement organization in the city. They think that Nightmare and the scorpions are going to hit a downtown department store.

Kidd walks around looking for Lanya. He hears a sound and finds it is a bus. The driver lets him on without nay money. He looks at the scenery as the bus drives, having no idea where he is going. He gets off the bus when he sees the sign, Emboriky's, the department stores where the scorpions were supposed to be. Kidd finds Nightmare who shows him a man with a rifle in an upper story window.
