Paul's next companion on his daily walks is a burly, wild-eyed religious zealot, who is sentenced for murder (of a Philistine, as he tells it), but who expects Christ's second coming at any time.
The zealot was closing up his carpentry shop for the day and the homicide begins when an angel of the Lord with a circle of flame around his head walked in. The angel told this cabinet-maker, Paul's companion, that he was numbered among the Lord's elect and his mission was to "Kill and spare not." Apparently, the carpenter obeyed, lopping the head off the aforementioned Philistine.
The following day, Paul complains to the Governor of the prisoner that he believes his exercise partner to be dangerously psychotic, but Sir Wilfred, in his typically arrogant manner, refuses to believe that.....
