Chapters 76-80 Summary

The President of the Space Frontier Federation visits Sexton at his apartment. Sexton feels as though all is lost, and there is no way to recover. The President of the SFF seems much less concerned and tells Sexton that there is still hope. The man shows Sexton a tape of two press conferences featuring Chris Harper, the section manager for PODS. In the first, Harper is informing the public that PODS has had a malfunction in its computer, but they hope to have it fixed shortly. In the second, given just two weeks ago, Harper is telling the public that they have found a work-around for the PODS computer malfunction. He looks very uncomfortable, much more so than in the previous press conference.The man tells Sexton that he believes Harper is lying, which makes both men wonder how the meteorite...
