Summary

The colonel and Hercule Poirot search each of the cabins, while a female and male steward search each of the passengers. During the search of Tim Allerton's cabin, the only thing suspicious they find is that none of the personal letters he has are from Joanna, his cousin and friend of Linnets. As they continue to search the cabins, the steward comes and tells the two investigators that they cannot find the maid anywhere. When they're searching Ferguson's cabin, they find a gun, but it is too large of a caliber to be the murder weapon. The steward and stewardess that were searching the passengers come to the investigators. They say the only thing they found was a gun on Richetti--too big of a caliber--and a small pistol in Rosalie's purse.
